Mens' Encampment

Camping, Shooting, Hiking, and Friendship.

Great Food, Good People.

All Men Are Invited. Bring your sons if you have 'em.
March 7-9, 2025 (Friday to Sunday)

Looking for something fun to do with a group of solid men?

Join us for Camping and Shooting on March 7-9, 2025.

We will be setting up camp in the desert area south of Joshua Tree (about 2 hours from Orange County). We plan to eat good food, shoot some guns, and have a great time with good folks! Please bring your sons as well.

You're welcome to come Friday afternoon and stay through Sunday around noon, or just come Saturday for the day (or any other portion that you'd like).  You can also come up a day early on Thursday and help stake out our spot.

If you're planning to spend the night, please bring something to sleep in. You can rough it under the stars, sleep in your car, a truck bed, tent, or bring your RV.

We will rent port-a-potties and coordinate food for the entire group. Plan to pitch in to help cook and use that time as an oppportunity to get to know your fellow men.

Please register here so we can plan for you to join.

We look forward to seeing you!

FAQs:

Can I bring my own guns?

Yes! We will be setting up in an area that is far away from other people, and will be in a canyon area that is conducive to safe shooting.

What if I don't want to shoot?

This isn't exclusively a "shooting" trip. The primary purpose is to have fun, relax, and enjoy the company of other men. We just so happen to be shooting guns as well. There's also ample opportunity to hike around, sit around, and chat around. Even if you're not a gun guy, you're welcome to join us.

Can I invite other people?

Please do! This is an open invitation, and is an excellent opportunity to bring someone along who would benefit from a good community of solid men. To ensure that we know who to expect, please be sure to let us know by filling out the form at the bottom of this page.

Will there be food?

Yes! We will provide dinner on Friday night, all three meals on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. You should bring any snacks you want and also bring water to drink (there is no water at camp).

What will this cost?

The cost is $135 per adult, $100 per teenager (12-18), and $80 per child (11 years old and under).

Ammunition is expensive these days, so if you plan to shoot a lot and don't bring ammo, you can plan to help pitch in directly to the person whose ammo you shoot (but no pressure).

Where, exactly, are we going?

To the south of Joshua Tree National Park, there is a large area of land managed by the US Bureau of Land Management. It's south of the 10 freeway east of Palm Springs. You can check the driving directions here: Driving Directions

Because the area is open land, there are no campgrounds, campsites or reservations. We won't know exactly where we'll end up until we get there. We'll just call it an adventure.
